WebbMichelangelo was a lonely and quiet child, especially so as he did not have a mother to pamper or encourage him. He was the youngest in a large household that was by no means well-off. His father, Lodovico, was unable to make both ends meet, so the little Michelangelo spent a lot of time brooding.
